Mia's eyes flushed crimson with rage as she growled through clenched teeth, "Vivienne, how long do you think you can act all high and mighty for? Once Sebastian divorces you, what will you have left? When that day comes, crushing you will be as easy as stepping on an ant!"
Vivienne laughed. "If I have no one to rely on, then I'll just rely on myself. Who in this world truly depends on anyone? Though I suppose some people can't survive without running to a man the moment trouble hits. It's like they'd die without one."
She gently patted Mia's face. "Besides… I don't need a man to teach you a lesson."
Mia's gaze locked onto Vivienne with such venom that it seemed to drip with poison. Then, as if she had suddenly remembered something, she let out a cruel laugh.
"Vivienne, do you know how pathetic you looked that day? You were just a drowning mutt, gasping for air. How much of a failure do you have to be that not a single soul stepped forward to help you? That must have felt hopeless,
