Arnaud pulled out a chair and sat down.
His hair fell loosely across his forehead, and the spotlight from above cast a soft glow on his defined features, outlining him in a faint halo. His dark loungewear also softened the formal, imposing presence he carried during the day, lending him an almost boyish charm.
When he noticed Sylvia hadn't started eating yet, he raised a brow. "You don't like it?" he asked.
"No. I was waiting for you," she replied.
Arnaud paused at her words, then a smile slowly spread across his lips.
That was more like the Sylvia he remembered.
Ever since that night, her behavior had changed so much that it'd made him wonder whether or not she even wanted to pursue him anymore. But now that they'd defined their relationship, he felt like he was the one chasing her.
"Let's eat," he softly said, as if coaxing a child.
After finishing their food, Sylvia beat Arnaud to it and quickly cleared the dishes. Then, she headed to the kitchen to wash them.
