At first, Matthew didn’t really buy Chloe’s claim about finding Austin. The only reason he gave it the time of day was because of the way Vivian had practically begged in front of Chloe and that one supposedly crucial photo.
But Bianca’s words suddenly hit different—only Vivian had seen that picture. Austin had gone missing at three. How the hell could Vivian recognize a kid she hadn’t seen in fifteen years from just a single photo?
That thought snapped him awake. Matthew grabbed his phone and dialed Chloe. His voice was icy cold, sharp enough to cut glass. “Where are you?”
