Tamara felt rather uneasy when she saw how calm Mildred looked.
Could Mildred really be skilled in everything? That was impossible.
When the crowd had dispersed, Tamara pulled the professor aside. "During the competition, keep an eye on the computer that Mildred is using."
The professor was startled. "Do you want me to tamper with it?"
Tamara raised an eyebrow. "Are you unwilling to do so? Don't forget that if I hadn't put in a good word for you, my father wouldn't have nominated you as a candidate for professor during the board of trustees' meeting."
The man nodded at once. "I understand. Of course I'll do it. But… won't it be humiliating if we lose?"
Tamara laughed. "Even if we do lose, it will be Mildred's fault. What does that have to do with either of us?"
