I rubbed my head with my palm and inhaled a deep sigh as I see Roxanne being escorted out of the library. Everyone stared at her, murmuring and giving her ugly stares of disbelief and disgust. Yet... A part of me felt bad. I'm not quite sure why, but I did. I felt terrible for everything; for going off on her, for the way she felt... For whatever reasons she may have that led her to feel this way.
I never wished anything bad on her, especially on her daughter.
I truly wished we could have been good friends, and I genuinely thought she was a good person when we met. Never in my wildest thoughts would I have thought things would escalate this far between her and me.
Seli gave me a worried-sympathetic look and sighed, "Sophie, I am truly sorry. I don't know what to tell you, other than sorry." She turned on her heels and walked out of that library behind the security guards and Roxie.
