#Chapter 20: A Date and a Lawyer

“Eat first, then you can have this back.”
“This is the first time someone has ever dared to speak to me like that.” Logan frowned, his metallic eyes burning cold as they gazed up at me.
“It’s my duty as your fiancée to make sure you’re taking care of yourself.” Logan’s gaze continued to grow colder, and his frown grew thinner as he pursed his lips.
For a moment, my nerves started to fray. I might have overstepped. Making demands of an Alpha wasn’t truly my place, especially not from a contractual Luna. I was about to apologize and give him back the file, but Logan did something more surprising.
“Very well,” he said, “but on one condition.”
“What is it?”
“Get your lunch and come eat with me,” he said. I grinned and quickly went to get my lunch. I sat in the chair on the opposite side of his desk.
