Chapter 183:Taking Emma home

  Richard and Helena fussed over Emma like a pair of mother hens, their concern and care palpable in the air.   As Emma was wheeled away for a battery of tests in the obstetrics department, Richard felt his heart constrict with worry.   He wanted nothing more than to be by her side, to hold her hand and reassure her through every step of the process.   One of the nurses seeing him so clingy to her hand jokingly asked if he thought she was about to give birth.   Richard wanted to stay regardless.   But the nurses had been firm in their instructions; Richard and Helena were to wait outside while Emma underwent the necessary examinations.
