CHAPTER FORTY EIGHT – DINNER WITH THE HEIR
At precisely 7 PM, a sleek black car pulled up outside Cassie's apartment. The driver, a stoic man in a crisp uniform, opened the door for her.
"Ms. Hartman," he nodded. "Mr. von Steiner is expecting you."
The car glided through the city streets, eventually pulling up to a discreet entrance of what appeared to be an ordinary office building. Cassie frowned, confused.
"We're here, Ms. Hartman," the driver announced, opening her door.
As Cassie stepped out, the building's door opened, revealing a smartly dressed hostess.
"Ms. Hartman, welcome to Le Ciel," she smiled. "Please, follow me."
Cassie followed, her confusion growing as they entered an elevator. The hostess pressed a button marked with a star, and they began to ascend.
