As Yvette stepped out of the laboratory that afternoon, she saw Skyla and Adam waiting near the entrance. "Yvie!" Skyla beamed as she ran over, throwing her arms around Yvette in excitement. "I've been waiting forever!" Yvette instinctively wrapped an arm around Skyla's waist, her tone soft and soothing as she said, "Sorry to keep you waiting, Skyla. Let me make it up to you. I'll take you out for something delicious." Skyla wasn't upset, but hearing that, she lit up with joy. Her smile was as sweet as ever. "Okay, I forgive you!" Watching this playful interaction, Adam pinched the bridge of his nose in exasperation. Not only was Yvette charming every guy around her, but now it seemed she was charming the girls, too. If Yvette kept this up, Adam worried Skyla might actually switch teams. And if that happened, he knew he'd be out of the running for good. As they walked, Yvette sent a quick text before shutting off her phone and leading Skyla to Balmy Restaurant.
