Max squeezed her hand back. "I know. It's just... everything we've built, Ava. It could all come crashing down in the next hour."
"Or," Ava countered, "we could put an end to this nightmare once and for all. Remember, we're not just fighting for the company. We're fighting for every employee who's been harassed, every customer who's been misled. We owe it to them to set the record straight."
Max took a deep breath, nodding. "You're right. Let's go over the strategy one more time."
Ava pulled out her tablet, bringing up their notes. "Okay, so we start by addressing each of Jackson's main accusations. We've got the full context for those emails he leaked, plus statements from the employees involved confirming that nothing unethical occurred."
"Right," Max agreed. "And then we move on to the so-called whistleblower. We've got proof that they never actually worked for Bennett Enterprises, plus documentation showing that their claims about our business practices are false."
