It’s been a week since I was brought here, and so far, they’ve all treated me decently. Too decently, maybe. But the man called Pascal hasn’t shown his face once after that day, and that’s what keeps bothering me.
I want to know why he did it, why the hell he bought me from that useless maid. I just need to know if this man is going to be a problem for me or a solution.
Maybe he’s the answer to everything that’s gone wrong with my life—or maybe he’s just another Dylan, pretending to show care, playing the man that does not care but lock me up, until he rips everything away, throwing me in that hellhole, remembering that place sent a shiver through me.
The door opened and two nurses walked in—a male and a female.
“You’ll be discharged today, ma’am. The guards are outside waiting for you,” the woman said politely.
I only nodded. I wasn’t about to say something that could be used against me. Not when everything around me already felt like a game I didn’t understand
