We invited them into the receiving room where we were all seated. The Alpha was the only one missing.
“Excuse me for a moment, I need to bring my husband,” Luna Olivia said before stepping out.
Not long after, Osborne’s phone rang. He glanced at the screen and stood. “Hey, I’ll be right back,” he said, slipping out to answer the call, while I was alone with my parents and Clara.
“I should probably tell you everything now that we’re alone,” my mother began, her eyes fixed on me.
But I shook my head. “There’s no need. It looks like you’ve already been through enough.”
She smiled faintly, though it didn’t quite reach her eyes. “But you still deserve to know how it all came about”
