"How long is it going to take?" I asked for the tenth time during the car ride.
"Another one that picked the address, Diana," Skye said beside me as we rode in the van towards the border.
"We've been driving for the past three hours," I told him. "They picked the one closer to the first district. In a way, I'm going to have to hand it to them for their resourcefulness, although I do believe they're not that smart," Skye said, dismissing my foster parents so easily.
"I don't think they're smart either, Skye, but all of this doesn't sit right with me," I said.
"It's interesting that you're just beginning to think about it," he said through our bond. "You should have told me before, and I would have sent someone instead of you going. This is too risky. Should I turn the van around?"
"No," I said out loud. "We keep going," I said, forcing a smile and shoving it in his face.
