The soft morning light streamed into the room, casting long streaks of gold across the wooden floor. Althea stirred in the oversized bed, her limbs tangled in the crisp white sheets. The ache in her muscles reminded her of the night before,of Kaden’s hands on her, his lips, his whispered promises. A flush crept up her cheeks as the memories played back in vivid detail.
