Silvie’s POV
It was another day at Lunaris, really close to the end of the month when I could collect my first paycheck.
Kyle had called me to his office to brief me about the meeting we were having that morning.
“The CEO of Elysian, Dean Hastings is a ruthless businessman, even more than I.” He said.
“He doesn’t care about pleasantries or empty promises. With him, it’s all about results, numbers, and knowing he has the upper hand—at least, that’s what he thinks.” He smirked faintly, almost as if amused by the challenge. “Elysian’s been catching up fast, but I plan to keep them exactly where they are: under our thumb.”
He leaned back, eyes narrowing as he studied me. “I need you to take note of everything that happens in this meeting. Hastings likes to push boundaries—small comments, strategic moves, anything to gauge weakness. Stay sharp, and keep a record. I’ll want to go over it afterward.”
For a moment, he seemed to search my face, as if gauging my readiness. “Think you can handle
