What was that feeling?
As soon as I looked at Alexander, something inside me clicked.
There was a connection, a pull that neither of us could ignore. It was a bond deeper than anything I had ever felt before, and as the fighting escalated around me, it became impossible to deny.
My wolf howled inside me, reacting to his presence, to his strength. I could feel it — he was my fated mate.
The realization was so sudden, so overwhelming, that it nearly made me stumble on the battlefield.
But now wasn’t the time for such revelations.
The tide of the battle had changed.
The soldiers from The Dune Kingdom and The Western Plains were retreating. It was a coordinated withdrawal, too smooth, too organized to be a simple rout. My instincts screamed at me — this was a trap.
“Fall back!” I shouted as I surveyed the shifting forces.
My eyes locked on Alexander. He was injured, but he still remained strong.
A feeling of fear tightened my chest as I took in his wounded state — blood smeared
