Chapter 23

Alexander didn't receive news that the Bennett family had been targeted until he left the residential district. By then, the Bennett family was already beyond saving. He turned his head toward the direction of Cullen Manor, only to feel an overwhelming chill engulf his entire body. He began trembling uncontrollably. He knew that Cyrus' revenge had begun. His face turned deathly pale, and with shaking hands, he hurried to book a plane ticket home. But just as he did, several burly men appeared out of nowhere behind him, covering him and Aaron's mouth with cloth. Within seconds, they were both dragged into a nearby van. The cloth they used had been soaked in a strong anesthetic. Though Alexander tried to struggle at first, he quickly lost consciousness. When he woke up again, it was because a bucket of ice-cold water had been dumped on his head. In the dimly lit room, both he and Aaron had their hands and feet tightly bound. Several burly men stood around them. Seated directly
