Chapter 124
XAVIER'S POV
I wasn't listening to the rest of what the project manager was going on about.
‘Rush the release. Contingency budget.’
I gritted my teeth and pounded my pen onto the table harder than I intended. "This project plan was supposed to be completed by now. Why can't you get it, right?"
The room shifted. I could see sweat stains on Thomas's forehead attempting to open his mouth again.
"We're trying to consider the system as a whole—"
"I don't care about any system that you're working with." I moved in closer to him, low, cold tone. "You were given budget, time, and three deadline extensions in a row one after the other. Why haven't I gotten a perfect project plan?"
Thomas blinked. "S-Sir?"
They were interrupted by my phone ringing. I checked to see that it was Aria calling.
