CHAPTER 51 Lisa’s comeback
The days after she had sent that message to Amelia and Mark, she spent them laying low. She didn't want to be found yet.
There was very little she could do about anything, and there wasn't anything she could do. She was wanted by the police and each time she stepped out, she could not stop looking over her shoulder.
What had she done exactly that she had to be sent to prison? Her only crime was falling in love with Mark.
She slurped her coffee, closing her eyes at the delicious mix of flavors that tingled her tongue. She had missed this, drinking coffee from her favorite coffee shop in the mornings. All they ever served in prison was a black goo. It was disgusting.
She pulled her hoodie up, over her face and scanned her environment. She had taken a risk by coming to the coffee shop.
