Chapter 81 Thinking About Her
Nicholas Andrieux
Back in my office, I tried—really tried—to focus.
I had planned to get straight to work, but instead, my mind drifted back to earlier today—watching Alicia try on wedding dresses.
But my mind kept betraying me.
The image of Alicia in that wedding dress? Yeah, it wasn’t leaving anytime soon.
She had looked… breathtaking.
Not that I’d ever say that out loud.
Instead, I had casually mentioned that the dress suited her, like I was commenting on a business deal rather than the sight of her in a gown that momentarily knocked the air out of my lungs.
Not that it mattered. She didn’t even choose the dress I recommended. Typical. Maybe she was just ignoring my suggestions to be difficult—which, honestly, wouldn’t surprise me.
Still, it hit a nerve.
It shouldn’t have bothered me that she dismissed my suggestion without a second glance.
Why? I wasn’t sure.
For a moment, I had almost forgotten that this was just a farce. A business arrangement. A solution to a problem
