Three days later came the business party that Caleb couldn't get out of. The dazzling chandelier above scattered lights in every direction, illuminating the myriad of guests mingling below.
Caleb stood among the crowd with a glass of wine in hand. At first glance, he looked every bit the cool, aloof, and in-control CEO of Solt Group.
But a closer look revealed the subtle crease of worry on his brow and the way his fingers clenched the stem of his wine glass so tightly that his knuckles had turned white.
Several older men, all long-time friends of Solt Group, approached Caleb. After the usual greetings, their conversation inevitably shifted to the most explosive news of late.
