As a private garden villa, the Hart residence was breathtaking in terms of both scale and elegance. Even the lamps lining the walkway had been made to look like antique lanterns.
Walking between the two rows of lights, Cassandra couldn't help but feel as though she had stepped through time.
In truth, every time she came here, it was like she was taken hundreds of years back into some feudal era where she had to watch every expression and word. She had lived like a maid in this house. Even the butler, Paul Gardner, dared to order her around.
Just then, Cassandra spotted Paul standing by the entrance from a distance. There was a bowl of water in front of him. With a smile, he greeted Gregory, "Mr. Hart, you're back."
When he turned to Cassandra, his voice turned cold. "Mrs. Hart, congratulations on your recovery."
Gregory looked at the water and asked, "Paul, what's this supposed to mean?"
