Chapter 124 Silent Devotion
Ethan’s POV
The days turned to weeks, and the weeks slowly bled into months. Three months had passed since Rachel was admitted to the hospital, and she still hadn’t woken up.
The ventilator had been removed a few weeks ago, and her condition had stabilized enough for her to be transferred to a general ward.
But even so, she lay there, silent, unmoving. It was like her body was present, but her spirit had wandered somewhere unreachable.
The doctors said she was no longer in critical condition, but a coma was still a cage of its own. One that no one could break her out of.
Katelyn visited her every single day.
Rain or sun, busy or exhausted, she never missed a visit. Some days she brought fresh flowers and whispered to Rachel about the news she missed.
Other times, she just sat there in silence, holding her hand, waiting for even the slightest flutter of her eyelids.
