Katelyn’s POV
The day started like any other, but the mood between us felt lighter.
Ethan and I sat side by side in his office, eyes on the computer screen. We were reviewing some design proposals for the upcoming campaign.
I leaned in a little closer to get a better look, and just then, we both turned our heads at the exact same time.
Our faces were so close.
Our eyes locked. We both laughed.
“I didn’t mean to bump into your face,” I said.
Ethan smiled. “I didn’t mind.”
His voice was low. I observed he had been more relaxed lately, more thoughtful. It felt different. In good way.
I opened the lunchbox I brought and set it between us. “Let’s eat. You’ve been working non-stop.”
He reached for a piece of chicken, but I stopped him with a teasing look. “I’ll feed you.”
Ethan blinked in surprise. “You don’t have to—”
“I want to,” I cut in, already picking up a piece and holding it near his mouth.
He opened his mouth and took the bite, smiling around it. “You’re spoiling me.”
