Katelyn’s POV
I turned toward him, my chest heaving. “Ethan! He’s inside! Lucas is locked in!”
I didn’t have to say more.
Ethan’s eyes widened with alarm. The second he registered my panic, he moved.
He didn’t hesitate.
He shoved through the wall of bodies, storming past the guards like they were statues. They didn’t dare stop him. His energy shifted the room, he wasn’t here to play games.
“Move,” he snapped at one man blocking the way.
The man stepped aside.
Ethan reached the door in three strides, slammed his palm against the keypad, and began punching in numbers with quick, practiced movements.
“Come on…” he muttered under his breath, and then

“Lucas!” he barked. “Can you hear me?!”
I ran in right behind him, my heart thudding so loud I thought I might pass out from fear.
