Cold sweat soaked Yvonne's back.
"I don't quite understand what you mean, Mr. Leigh," she said.
"You don't understand?" Tristan asked. He took a step forward, making Yvonne feel so intimidated that she wanted to back away. "You can't call the shots for this contract, can you?"
"I—" Yvonne's mind was racing, trying to find an excuse to brush him off.
Tristan didn't give her the chance. "Get the person pulling the strings to talk to me."
Seeing the way she looked cleared the final hint of suspicion Tristan had. He was right. Yvonne was just a puppet that was pushed to the front.
"Looks like I've come to the right place." He pulled his gaze away and said to Julian, "Let's go."
With that, he walked right out of the building without even sparing another glance at Yvonne again.
