"Make it up to me?" Cressida yanked Luther's hand away, her eyes brimming with mockery.
"With what? Your stupidity for letting Natasha manipulate you all this time? Or your cheap guilt that's three years too late? Luther, remember this—you don't have the right."
She opened the cab door and got in without looking back.
The vehicle drove off, leaving him standing alone as cold wind whipped around him. He crouched down and buried his face in his hands. His phone rang at the worst possible moment, with Natasha's name flashing on the screen.
