Chapter 90 Rescue
By the time loud yelling erupted behind Cressida, she'd already thrown herself bodily out the window.
She jumped two stories down without any hesitation.
She felt a sense of weightlessness as she dropped through the air, the wind whistling in her ears. The instant she landed, intense pain shot up her ankle and spread up her calf.
She pitched forward uncontrollably, her elbows and knees scraping against the rough gravel and leaving bloody streaks on the ground.
"Damn it! She jumped! Hurry up and go after her!"
The cursing and shouting behind her were getting closer and closer.
Cressida didn't have the time to look over her injuries. She gritted her teeth and attempted to stand using that metal rod she'd used to pry open the window as support.
A piercing pain traveled up her left ankle, almost causing her to fall over once more.
She staggered hurriedly toward the barren land outside the warehouse, dragging her injured leg behind her. She couldn't stop, because she'd be dragged
