Chapter 33: Let Me Explain

~ Willow ~ “Shuu, it’s going to be okay baby.” Brax cooed into my ear. Time was lost to me. “She’s in shock.” Where am I? Am I in my bed? I heard a loud thud and angered voiced sounds around me. “There goes the door.” Nix said under his breath. “What the fuck happened?” That’s my father. “Gabriel, calm down. Let Brax explain.” My mother tried to calm him. “Don’t tell me to calm down, Harper! This is our daughter!” My father’s voice boomed. I could almost feel everyone around me shift uncomfortably. All but one. Brax was still at my side. My father’s voice didn’t cause him to shutter in the least bit. “Out! Now! Everyone’s footsteps rushed toward the door.” Still… Brax remained next to me. I let my eyes flutter open. My heart rate sped up. “Brax, is Drake dead?” Tears were ready to spill from my eyes. “Please, I don’t want to hurt you, but I need to know.” Brax lowered his head and let his lips graze the back of my hand. “Brax, you better start explaining what the fuck happened tonight.
