Chapter 21: I’ll Fly You Away

Brax walked the bike out of the driveway until we were able to get up to speed enough for him to hold the bike up. It’s completely dark. The only lighting is the moon, stars, and the headlight from the bike. It felt like things were moving in slow motion, though Brax didn’t take his time showing what the bike could do. I giggled and squealed as he lifted the front wheel in the air. Brax leaned his body going with the flow of the curves. I followed his movements as if we were one. We would lean into curves so far that our knees were inches from touching the pavement that was speeding by. I thought being on the back of Drake was a rush, but the feeling I get with Brax is something else. It’s not just being on a bike, and it’s not just the rush.
