Matthew picked up a book, and a disgusting, musty odor immediately hit him.

After flipping to the first page, he knitted his brows together.
"In early spring, the rainy season loosens the soil, so farmers are encouraged to bury stakes in the field to prepare the soil for farming. Black ridge soils are rich in nutrients, making them ideal for planting…"
Matthew scrunched up his face. The information was full of jargon and too detailed, so he just couldn't comprehend it.
He closed the book
