Marc seemed completely triggered by Sheila's confession. "So what if you've got no shame? I'm the one bleeding out here. Give me your phone. I'm checking it."
But before he could do more, Matthew's voice cut in, cold and firm. "She's not Blaine. Stop wasting time."
"What?" Marc blinked and looked at Sheila, confused. "How can you tell?"
Matthew's tone stayed flat. "Have you ever seen a boss work that hard?"
Marc froze, then suddenly understood. He was a manager himself, and aside from running morning meetings and wrapping up staff reports before clocking out, he spent most of his day gaming or watching videos.
