Presley watched the car disappear at the end of the road, then turned to head back.
After a couple of steps, he looked back and saw Elsie still standing there, staring blankly in the direction Clinton had gone.
He frowned and called out, "Hey!"
"Yes?" Elsie snapped out of her daze and answered quickly.
Presley shook his head slightly. "What are you spacing out for?"
As Elsie walked back, she muttered, "He left so suddenly. I really didn't want to see him go."
Presley frowned. "He's got nothing to do with you. Why do you care if he leaves?"
He only saw Clinton off because he was an important client. It was just basic manners.
Elsie was just a housekeeper. Instead of doing her job properly, she had the nerve to say something like that. It felt like she was overstepping.
