Chapter 14
Noah stumbled out of the hotel in a daze. He locked those people in a private event room, leaving them to endure punishment day after day until Isabelle chose to forgive them.
Noah drove aimlessly as snowflakes drifted down outside the window. Each landing snowflake felt like a heavy blow to his heart. Isabelle's desperate words kept echoing in his ears.

The pain in his chest deepened with every passing second. He had never imagined things could spiral so far out of control. The sudden stop nearly caused a rear-end collision. The driver behind him leaned on the horn, but Noah didn't seem to hear it. When the driver got out to argue, he took one look at Noah's dark, lifeless gaze and backed away in fear.
