Moira's POV
Mirielle must have been having so much fun with Bella and Jude that she hadn't contacted me for a week—not even to ask me to drive her to school.
In her mind, Jude and Bella seemed more suitable as her parents. They loved each other, Jude spoiled her, and Bella was cool and deserved to be with him. That was what Mirielle had once said.
I tried to push aside my disappointment with Mirielle by keeping myself busy with work. Fortunately, I had a friend who was talkative enough to always involve me in her activities.
Today, Rhea reminded me about our lunch date. Since it was the weekend, I agreed to go with her. After a week of mentally draining work, it was time for us girls to have some fun.
