Moira was stunned, opening one of the boxes—the circular velvet box and even more astonished when she found a set of white gold jewelry with stunning sapphire stones.
She stood silently and just stared at the object in her hand. Didn't Bella win those things? She didn't understand. If they were for Bella, why were they now in her room?
Just like when she asked Jude to buy the land across from her grandmother's house, he had placed these two boxes on her nightstand, which meant they were all for her.
There was a card with a message inside.
[Happy birthday, Grandma.
Jude and Moira]
Moira's breath caught in her throat. Jude even used their names to give the impression that their marriage was fine. Or maybe it was more than that, without she knowing.
One of the boxes was a rectangular, and Moira guessed that it contained a scroll, which turned out to be correct.
An antique painting, neatly rolled up, lay inside the box with the same greeting card, but underneath it was signed
