Chapter Twenty–eight. The truth
Ivanna's POV
"My king. Mary didn’t kill Luna Eleanor. She wasn’t anywhere close to Luna Eleanor the day she died. Please, spare her,” I pleaded.
Mary might be wicked and probably deserved to be killed, but I didn't want her to be wrongly accused of a crime she didn't commit. I didn't want her to become June's sacrificial lamb.
"I’m sorry, my king," Mary cried. "I didn't mean to do it."
Do what? What was she talking about? No way! Was she the —?
"I killed Luna Eleanor!" She confessed.

"It was you?!" I gasped, drenched in shock.
"Yes," she replied. I fell on the floor. My eyes were almost popping from their sockets. And my hands clamped my mouth.
So all this time, it was Mary? But how? How did she do it? What happened? Many questions filled my mind. I needed quick answers from them.
I needed to know how Mary winded up as the killer. My bet had always been on June. Or did they plan the whole thing together? Were they accomplices?
