Elias's POV
I knew something was wrong. It was an annoying, prickly feeling at the back of my neck that refused to die down no matter what I did. I stacked the last of the spare parts on top of the desk, glancing around the garage.
Everything was in place; no one had found me out, they still believed I was dead, and the Red Shadow Pack would soon fall.
I thought, running through the list of things in my head, the ambitions I had, which were going according to plan.
But the feeling of unease still wrapped around my neck, holding me in a chokehold till I gritted my teeth, grabbing a faded leather jacket from the hanger and donning it around my shoulder.
Fuck it, I cursed under my breath. It had to be her. There was no other explanation. I walked quickly, stepping outside. It was a bright morning, barely even dawn yet.
Grabbing my phone from my pocket, I typed in Kara's number, sending a quick text.
Not only did she not give me updates concerning the mission, she had gone completely MIA f
