“I was just joking, Lucas." Quince quickly surrendered.
The waitress looked at the two handsome men and bit her lips, smiling as she stepped aside.
"You two are so rowdy." Leonard impatiently glared at his two arguing friends.
Benedict laughed. "Leo, shouldn’t you be celebrating now that Lisa has moved out? You never liked her anyway."
Leonard furrowed his brows. Finally, he no longer needed to see Lisa and should be happy about it. But whenever he returned home these past few nights, he would subconsciously glance at the corner of the wall.
It used to be just him in the bedroom, but being alone now made him uncomfortable. Before falling asleep, he constantly saw images of himself slapping Lisa when he closed his eyes. He wondered if she was still hurt.
Leonard was distracted.
Lucas noticed it and teased, “Did you finally realize you kind of liked Lisa after she left?”
"Do you hear yourself?" Leonard scoffed without hesitation. "Like her? What's there to like?"
