"If Bennett is your little brother, then why aren't you being crowned king?" I asked, slightly regretting it when I saw Levi's smile fade and his face grow serious. "I'd rather not talk about this here," he said and turned slightly, motioning for me to follow him. I did as I was told and let Levi lead me out the ball room. He led me down a hallway I had yet to explore. He stopped in the middle of the hallway, making sure to look both ways before speaking again. "This isn't big news and I would like it to stay that way," he started and paused. I nodded, urging him to continue. "I'm not Alaric's real son. My mother had an affair with a normal werewolf before she met Alaric, making me half royalty. Since Bennett is full royalty, he gets the crown before I do. If something were to happen to him, it would then be me who would take over." That made sense. Since the queen was born with a mate in the royal family, she would also have royal blood in her. T
