Liliana had just stepped out of the private room when someone approached her and said there was someone waiting for her in the storage room.
She was a little puzzled—who would want to meet her there at this hour? Still, curiosity got the better of her, and she went.
The storage room was dimly lit. As soon as she pushed the door halfway open, it was suddenly slammed shut from the outside and locked.
Liliana yanked at the door, but it wouldn't budge. She knocked and shouted, "Hey! Somebody's in here!"
She called out several more times, but no one came. Frowning, she glanced around the small room.
She pulled out her phone, ready to call for help, only to realize it had died.
Seriously? Of all times? She walked over to the window and opened it, peering out. They were several floors up—no way anyone outside would hear her even if she screamed.
Just as she was about to close the window, the bracelet on her wrist slipped off and tumbled down.
