Now that she'd landed the role she'd been eyeing, Liliana could finally breathe a little.
Back at the office, she headed straight for Trisha's room.
Trisha was swamped, juggling her two star clients like a champ. Liliana munched on some snacks while watching her handle calls like she had an extra pair of hands.
One phone against her ear, the landline ringing too—Trisha looked like a human spinning top. Liliana felt a little sorry for her and quietly poured her a cup of coffee.
As soon as the call ended, Trisha chugged the coffee down in one go.
"See that? That's what life looks like as an agent. Even top-tier ones have it rough." Trisha sighed.
Liliana ripped open a mini bun packet and handed it over. "Eat something to recharge. The grind's not over yet." She even fed her the bun herself.
Trisha couldn't help smiling at her, biting into the bread while staring at those big, pretty eyes of hers.
