Tristan wrapped his arms around my waist. "You never like people hiding things from you. Whatever it is that Jason is hiding I'm sure he has a reason."
I forced a smile. "Yeah, I'm sure you're right."
I bade Tristan a good night and went up to my room. I contemplated confronting Jason and demanding that he tell me what he was hiding. I sighed. I have no clue what it is, if it's actually something. "Sleep on it, Dena," I murmured to myself. Maybe this would make sense in the morning.
It didn't. I got up the next day just as confused and frustrated as before. Adding to my list of concerns, Justin was in the kitchen when I came down. "What are you doing up so early?"
"Trying to catch you," he answered yawning. "God, how do you get up at the ungodly hour?"
"For starters I don't believe in God," I answered. Justin rolled his eyes. "And I also run. It's a good way to wake yourself up."
