#Chapter 235: Apparitions
Ella’s POV
The following morning, I found myself pulling up to the front of Liam’s apartment building. My friend grinned as he looked out the window.
“Ah, home. Never thought I’d see it again.”
“Save it for when you actually get inside,” I teased as I parked and helped Liam get out of the car. “For all you know, the place could have been overtaken by termites.”
Liam snorted and leaned on me a bit as I led him inside, although he didn’t need to put nearly as much weight on me as before. He already seemed five times stronger than he did the other day; the doctors said that his tumor was nearly impossible to spot now, and he was showing clear signs of remission.
When we entered Liam’s apartment, the space was cool and a little dusty. But within a few minutes, we’d warmed the place up and cleaned off some of the surfaces, and a pot of coffee was steaming between us.
