Ella’s POV
My stomach dropped when I saw that banner scroll across the screen. Alexander, who had been sitting on the couch beside me, suddenly leaned forward and grabbed the remote.
“The hell is this?” he muttered, turning up the volume. Brian was gesticulating wildly, and at one point, a picture popped up beside him—the very same picture of Alexander and I that had made headlines just this morning.
“Clearly, Alpha Alexander can’t make up his mind about which woman he wants to marry,” Brian was saying. “Is that really the kind of man you want to be running the territories? A man who has cheated and lied and manipulated his way through every single one of his relationships?”
I groaned and covered my face with my hands. I didn’t want to see another moment of this, but I couldn’t help it; I peeked through my fingers, too curious to not hear the rest.
