Without waiting for him to ask, Benedict heard the sound of the door closing.
Cordelia sat in the corridor outside her room, opened her laptop, and continued working.
She was so focused that she lost track of time, and the evening breeze gradually turned cold.
Suddenly, the door swung open, and a beam of light illuminated Cordelia's figure. Benedict watched Cordelia, busy and focused, feeling both irritated and helpless.
"Who told you to sit here? Are you going to run to Grandpa to complain again later?"
Cordelia blinked her clear eyes and murmured, "I came out so as not to disturb you. I have no intention of reporting to Mr. Archibald. If I really wanted to complain, I would have told him about this morning."
Benedict, with a dark expression on his handsome face, lifted Cordelia from the floor like holding a kitten, without a word of negotiation. "Come with me."
