Chapter 21
After exiting the plane, Keith received another message from Ariel. She had sent him the location of a cafe this time.
Keith quickly called a cab and showed the driver the address. "I want to get to this place as fast as possible."
On the way there, Keith felt unbearably anxious. It felt like his heart would jump out of his chest.
As he watched the car get closer and closer to the location Ariel sent, his phone rang again. The call was from an unknown number.
Keith could barely hide his excitement. "Ariel, I'm almost there."
There was nothing but silence for a while. Then, a strange voice said awkwardly, "Hello, Mr. Ford. Someone anonymous left a ring at our auction house. Your name was registered as the former buyer, so we called you to ask if you had lost it."
The person on the other end of the line wasn't Ariel. Keith frowned and impatiently opened the picture the auction house had sent him. The first thing he saw was a shiny diamond that was as big as a bird's egg.
