I froze. I didn't know where to place the small cake I was holding either.
I stammered, "You've got the wrong person. I'm not Amber. I'm Helen."
Zelda smiled and shook her head. "I didn't get the wrong person. You're Amber."
As if in surrender, I placed the cake down and said, "Alright, I'm actually Amber. Something happened in our household. Could you please not let Felix know about this? Don't worry. We'll be switching back in a bit."
I looked at Zelda with hope. Zelda paused for a while before saying, "Alright. I won't tell him."
I was gleeful and hurriedly thanked her.
