Chapter 199
Judy's heart tightened, and her back slammed against the wall. Avery emerged from the shadows.
"Avery, is that you?" An elderly voice suddenly echoed in the alley.
Before Judy could regain her composure, Avery had already walked over. "Grandma, why did you come out by yourself? How many times have I told you it's hard to see at night and you might trip again!"
Judy followed the sound and finally saw the small house at the end of the alley. The room was dimly lit, and an elderly lady was standing in the doorway, leaning on a cane and trembling. Avery called her grandma.
