Adam trembled in anger. "Are you going to cancel the engagement because of this woman?" In front of Adam and under Judy's bewildered gaze, Clark held Judy's hand as he solemnly declared, "You heard me right. I'm going to cancel the engagement." "You rascal!" After Clark and Judy left the study, a paperweight was thrown out, followed by Adam's cursing with Oscar trying to calm him down. They then left the summer resort without hesitation. On the way back, Clark kept holding Judy's hand. Even though the air conditioning was on in the car, his palms were sweating profusely. Judy frowned. "Nobody's watching now. Can you let go?" But Clark tightened his grip instead. He asked, "What did Grandpa say to you?" "What do you think?" "He told you to stay away from me, didn't he?" Clark's expression turned grim. "Don't bother about what Grandpa said. Just listen to me. "From now on, if anyone from Grandpa's side calls for you, don't go. Tell me, I'll handle it. And, no matter what conditi
